For years the food industry has been gradually degrading our standards and tastes to the point where many Americans can’t recall what “good food” really is. Maybe you grew up in a time when food was purchased from your local farmer or butcher and your family cooked up REAL FOOD, with REAL INGREDIENTS, bought from REAL PEOPLE, each and every day.
I can’t tell you how many times an older customer has come up to me and said “This meat tastes like what we used to eat growing up!” This statement brings us great joy to hear from our customers because we know that there is no coincidence in why they said it! Our premium, farm raised flavor is a direct result of how our cattle, chickens, and pork are raised, finished, and butchered.
Rath Farms animals are naturally and ethically raised on our farms right here in Renfrew, Pennsylvania where they are able to graze freely on pasture for their food.
- Cows that are put into our Beef Program are finished on free choice grain in addition to grazing on grass and hay to ensure a tender and flavorful product that is sure to please any true meat connoisseur. Our cattle are then transported by us to one of three USDA Inspected Butcher Shops where they are processed and the meat is dry aged, cut, vacuum sealed, and frozen to lock in that perfect flavor. That meat is then transported back to the Farm in our Temperature Controlled ICE BOX freezer trailer. It is the culmination of these efforts that enables us to deliver you that long sought after quality and flavor.
- Our Chickens, both meat and egg layers are raised in a cage free environment without the use of hormones or antibiotics. We feed the chickens a natural diet which offers a two-fold benefit of happier healthier chickens as well as a better tasting, more tender and less fatty meat. Our Chicken products are available in a boneless skinless vacuum sealed option as well as whole or half chickens available upon request.
- Our Pigs are raised in a comfortable environment and have free choice grain and water available to them around the clock. Like our Beef and Chicken offerings, our pork is always hormone and antibiotic free and the ethical care of our animals is paramount. We are working to offer customers a variety of high quality pork products including smoked meats. All pork products are vacuum sealed and frozen to preserve your investment.
- We offer eggs laid fresh daily here at Rath Farms by our Happy Hens! On a daily basis we have Brown and White Eggs available as well as mixed dozens to suit your preferences. All eggs are cleaned and sanitized prior to packaging for sale.
